My wife and I bought American Tourister luggage from Strandbags Murray Bridge for our honeymoon in France. We were verbally told that the cases were fully guaranteed and of high quality. On landing in France I found my case on the conveyor belt with the zip parted and the contents of my case spilled everywhere. On returning the case to Strandbags the shop person (Trudy) said that someone must have stabbled the zip to part it, so that they could steal my stuff (hmmm - but nothing was stolen). She also said that the zip is "self healing" - which it allegedly is. She was aggressive and dismissive and got me really riled. She said that the case was not at fault as someone had stabbed the zip. No, that's what you are saying not me. If the zip has parted once why would I trust it again? I said that i wanted my issues addressed so she kept the case for the rep to look at. I followed up a few days later and have now been told the rep played with the zip and it's all fixed. Yeah right - I know BS when I hear it. We've spent quite a few hundred at strandbags and I recommend to avoid them. Their verbal guarantees are worth nothing and the current shop person is dismissive and aggressive. Also recommend that you avoid american tourister luggage.
